Sons of American Legion

The S.A.L. was chartered in 1984 under Berg-Hemker-Olson Squadron 51.

S.A.L. (Sons of American Legion) members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership. The Sons of American Legion is a program of the American Legion, although is requires a separate membership.

The S.A.L. emphasizes four pillars:

• Preserving American traditions and values
• Improving the quality of life for our nation’s children
• Caring for veterans and their families
• Teaching the fundamentals of good citizenship
